The protection of Loreto’s many estuaries falls squarely within KLM’s mission, and in some cases, our help arrives just in a nick of time. Recently, one of the estuaries north of Loreto has received lots of attention from KLM.
KLM has partnered with Cesar Diaz of EnviroClean Recycling of Loreto, by providing funding, support and supplemental workers, to remove plastic irrigation piping from the greater Loreto area and send them to recycling partners in Mexico.
Nopoló Park and Loreto II Park were recently created by Presidential decree to support sustainable development, ecotourism, and permanent habitat protection.
